Firearms Instructor TCOLE #2222

Service Description

The Firearms Instructor is a TCOLE #2222 credited course. Our goal is to provide instructors with the skills knowledge and resources to be able to develop, implement and adapt their firearms training. The main objective is for the students to leave with a deeper under standing of the concepts and principals of shooting and developing training for themselves, and their agency. Students will develop and be graded on points of instruction (POI) as well as skill application. Students will be introduced to the mandated criteria for qualifications, training requirements, liability associated with teaching and record retention. Prerequisite: Must have completed a Basic TCOLE Instructor #1014 Hold a TCOLE Peace Officer license in good standing. Completion: Pass an entry and exit qualification with a 90% or better (2 attempts) Pass a graded written exam. Pass the graded teach back POI.
